Scott Marmer is a Boston-area fine art photographer whose work explores the intersections of light, shadow, geometry, and the fleeting human presence within urban spaces. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Marmer is self-taught, approaching photography with a meticulous, detail-driven perspective shaped by his parallel career as a corporate attorney. This precision translates into carefully composed images that serve as meditations on solitude, disconnection, and the passage of time in a technology-shaped society.

Influenced by masters such as Fan Ho, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Ansel Adams, Marmer’s work often employs a restrained monochrome palette, emphasizing tonal nuance and stark contrast.
